Deepening a 3-year relationship with the Covenant House, CheapOair began the first of a series of 6-week long Agent Training Programs on September 8, 2009 at Covenant House to help the young adults learn valuable skills that can translate into future job opportunities.

The goal of the program is to teach entry level basics needed to become a travel professional. CheapOair is committed to training and hiring under-privileged youth from the Covenant House and other shelters in the New York area. "As our company grows, we feel the need to give back to our community, which will mean providing employment opportunities as well as providing access to training facilities to people who otherwise would not have access to such programs," said Sam Jain, President and CEO of CheapOair.

Sam added that, "The students are all very excited and are looking forward to joining us or other travel companies after the program is completed. They will all also receive a certificate of training completion."

CheapOair also held an employee drive for clothing and other daily items needed by Covenant House youth. In addition, Sam Jain, presented Mr. Jerome Kilbane, Executive Director of Covenant House with a $5,000 donation.
